On Monday 30th November we got up really early and headed into Manhattan on the Subway. There was a huge difference in pace from our chilled out weekend with San and Nelson to the crazy whirlwind schedule we had planned for our first day in downtown.
We started with a MASSIVE very very tasty breakfast at Sara Beth's which my sister, Becky and Dougie had recommended. It was delicious- and although more pricey than the family diner we'd been to at the weekend it was worth it for the experience. We were fueled for our day ahead!

Afterwards we headed to MOMA which is always amazing. Nathan really wanted to see the Tim Burton exhibition which included drawings he did in his teenage years- his creativity is inspiring!
At the end of our very long morning looking round all of MOMA we went to the MOMA shop- where we probably spent as much time as we did in the exhibits. We could have bought the entire shop but we settled for a few treats and some birthday gifts for my Mum, whose birthday it was the day before. If you ever need any gift ideas with a little bit more design behind them then go here.
We had a really good cultured morning and my creativity felt rejuvenated! I loved it!
