Festival in the Sky!

As our first event for the International Festival Nathan got us a deal for 2 for 1 on the dinner in the sky which was part of the Festival in the Sky. The concept is that you have a light bite (breakfast, lunch or dinner booking are taken) for 30 mins but you are 100ft in the air looking over picturesque Edinburgh!
Nathan with our boarding cards as we await the 'flight' before us they were just finishing their lunch.
Our menu. The food was tasty. Think of 4/5 mini starters on a plate- similar to what you might get at the Taste festival . The were good and actually 30 mins is enough time. You also got a glass of fizz.
Before we went up the rain started. As usual in Edinburgh it was practically horizontal. But it turned to drizzle before we went up so it was fine. I liked our lovely see through ponchos!  We looked like such tourists!
The view looking down with our feet in the picture for perspective.

Nathan 100ft up about to start his lunch. The castle in the background was so beautiful.

Me munching on my arran cheese and crackers.

Me and Nathan 100ft in the air with the castle in the background.
What the centre of the table looks like where the staff serve you from.
Back on the ground.
We survived!

The two of us, with our lovely ponchos. It was a fun date afternoon and a good experience although I don't know if I would pay full price. It's worth it to say you've done it and they are very good at putting you at ease with health and safety. I think it will do well at the festival.
