Motivation!

I still have some blogging from my birthday to catch up on but I felt I wanted to write a wee bit today!

I went for another interview this morning with a great brand. I would love to get the job. It is only part time (a job share) but it would be great experience and I feel I have a lot to offer. I'd rather work part time in a company I know I'd love than full time in a job I don't want!! I know I could fill the other days with PR work/ babysitting and you don't know what opportunities will open up. The difficulty is the market is now saturated with great candidates due to redundancies and that makes it difficult! I know they were interviewing a lot of people!!

But I felt encouraged also today- not only because I felt I represented myself well at my interview but because I also sat and worked out all of the earnings I have made since I was made redundant at the end of last November. I have been freelancing since then- which started with a 3 month contract and has continued with many experiences in Experiental Marketing, Event Management, Branding, New Business Development, Project Management and Markeitng Co-ordination. I was pretty astounded when I worked out my earnings... and proud of myself!!

But then came the realization of what that means I've spent in the last year! Oh dear!! I even worked out what went on non bills! (so non essentials!) mmm... we might have to work on that one!!

But I feel I deserve a pat on the back today for how long I have been able to keep my head above water! It's been very tough but hopefully there is more stability around the corner!

I got an e-mail today which led me to a website full of quotes and I thought I would share some of words that I am taking on board!!

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going. -Jim Ryun

I am going to use this for getting myself back to the gym and getting healthy!

And I never thought I'd be quoting her but hey ho!! I think it's relevant for me!!

Look at a day when you are supremely satisfied at the end. It's not a day when you lounge around doing nothing; its when you had everything to do, and you've done it. -Margaret Thatcher
